Collection: Aromatic
Aroma is an odorous plant substance used in medicine, perfumery and cooking. Not to be confused with spices, which are mainly used dry, while flavorings are used fresh.
Aromatic plants are predominant, coming mainly from the Mediterranean basin, which transmit freshness and liveliness to the compositions: thyme, basil, sage, rosemary, mint, basil and even tea notes. Lavender is the emblem of the aromatic family and was widely used in compositions at the beginning of the 20th century.
It is a very natural family and brings a fresh and country note to the compositions. It pairs particularly well with marine and ozonic notes for a highly dynamic effect and a sporty feel.
From Atkinsons' timeless English Lavender in 1910 and Caron's Pour un Homme in 1934, this category has evolved from monotonous perfumes, centered on lavender, to richer and more sophisticated compositions, using a wider variety of olfactory nuances.
Evocations: freshness, tonicity, cleanliness, energy.
