LIME

Lime is a small, green lemon with a distinctive character that pairs well with all fragrance families. Perhaps because it evokes Caipirinha or Mojito, it is attributed exotic accents: it is a citrus fruit that adds vivacity to perfume, making it joyful and lively.

The tree is called a lime tree, and the botanical family of lime is Rutaceae. Lime belongs to the hesperidic notes, or citrus notes, such as bergamot, lemon, orange, grapefruit, tangerine, and yuzu. These notes contribute to the top notes.

It is typical of tropical countries, where it thrives in a hot and humid climate, and is originally from Malaysia and India.
