Collection: OLFACTORY NECTAR

The brand-new Maison Nectar Olfactif draws its inspiration from the world of bees, which collect nectar from flowers, plants, and fruit trees. Like bee nectar, the fragrances will transport you on an olfactory journey.

From ancient Egypt to Greek mythology, the bee was adored and revered. Its nectar was a divine drink made from honey that granted immortality to those who drank it.

Thus, Nectar Olfactif aims to be a brand of exceptional perfumes that values raw materials in search of original compositions.

The creator's first work draws inspiration from magical places such as the Nile in Egypt, fields of flowers, the plant world of Bali, the vanilla bean native to Mexico, and the almond, present in Western Asia for millennia.

Let yourself be enveloped by these nectars that will take you on an olfactory journey.

The creator, David Perrin, is a connoisseur of niche perfumes and travel. A perfume collector, he also has solid experience in this sector.

He has worked in the production and packaging of perfumes for other niche brands. This has allowed him to develop a strong appreciation for the quality of the product and materials, both in terms of fragrance and bottle and packaging design.

From his travels, he developed a thirst for discovery of nature and the history of civilizations.

The creation of Nectar Olfactif was inevitable. David Perrin is fascinated by the history of bees. Their organization and division of labor within the hive are a source of inspiration. Forager bees bring nectar back to the hive, just like raw material in an olfactory composition.

Nectar Olfactif selects the best raw materials to create exceptional fragrances. These are perfume extracts that promise extraordinary olfactory persistence and longevity.

The design

The design of Nectar Olfactif naturally evokes the world of bees and plants.

The bottle has a cubic shape with a honey-colored lacquered interior. The cap resembles a honeycomb. On the gold silkscreened medallion, a bee stands out with a flower at its tip and leaves at the ends. David was inspired by the story of the bee trapped in amber and found in Myanmar (Burma). It is believed to be the oldest bee fossil discovered to date. Perfectly preserved, this bee is estimated to be 100 million years old.

The box is green, symbolizing the plant world. Protected by an inner box, the packaging looks like a jewelry box, both sober and luxurious, with suede-lined interiors that give a sensual feel and hint at the perfume bottle.

The creation of perfumes

David wanted to collaborate with the perfumers of Maison Robertet, whose values he shares and for whom natural raw materials are the raison d'être.

For over 200 years, Robertet has been at the forefront of sourcing natural ingredients for the perfumery industry, boasting expertise ranging from the origin – i.e., seeds, leaves, and flowers – to the constant renewal of industrial know-how: extraction, hydrodistillation, purification, molecular distillation, CO2 extraction, co-distillation…

David collaborated on the creation with perfumers Sidonie Lancesseur and Serge de Oliveira from Robertet.

The choice of raw materials was very rigorous, in search of natural perfumes inspired by his travels.

Once the fragrances are created from Maison Robertet's concentrates, and drawing on his expertise, David produces the perfume extracts in the family business, using artisanal methods, through the stages of maceration, cooling, and filtration, before moving on to packaging.
